Make it Better Project

Dear Principal,I graduated from Biddeford High back in 1998 and, with the recent surge in teen suicides due to anti-gay bullying, I'm concerned about the students still at BHS.   With 90% of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people reporting some kind of bullying during their school life, I want to know what's being done to stop this at BHS. Gay students are twice as likely to contemplate suicide – I know I did – and much more likely than their peers to actually succeed.  As a country, we've come a long way in the last 12 years, but not enough. Thank you for letting me know what BHS is doing to protect its students from bullying.Adam R.
